Introducing my handmade clothing and accessories...

Hi readers,

I often get a lot of questions about the costumes that I wear in my music videos, and I wanted to share a little bit about some of the clothing and accessories that I handcraft myself. I'm excited to announce that you will now be able to buy accessories handmade by me which have featured in my music videos from my official store!

So, let me tell you a little bit more about them...

Alongside being a musician, I have also been knitting and crocheting from a very early age, and I hand-craft elements of my costumes using these traditional techniques - inspired by my love of fantasy clothing from bygone eras and from movies and TV that have been a big influence on my life and music. I create the designs and patterns and then spend many hours crafting each item by hand.

Some of my handmade designs include my shawl and fingerless gloves from my video 'Kaer Morhen' from The Witcher III; the fingerless 'Dragon Gloves' from my How To Train Your Dragon' music video; my 'Skyeboat Shawl' and fingerless gloves from my music video 'The Skyeboat song, plus many other shawls and accessories which I have worn in videos and social media posts.

Fingerless gloves -

I created this fingerless glove design specifically for wearing whilst playing tin whistle and other instruments as it leaves your fingers free. The design combines elements of knitting and crochet.

Shawls -

The handcrafted shawls that you can see me wearing in some of my videos such as 'The Skye Boat Song' are made to my original pattern using a stretchy knit 'garter stitch', and they have a unique wooden button so that they can be fastened. These take many weeks to knit by hand, and can be worn in multiple different ways.

I also make other kinds of shawls featuring intricate crochet lace patterns, so keep an eye out on my store for one off pieces which I will be listing when they are available!
